ACC ASCENDER STUDENTS ATTEND SPRING KICK OFF

by Isaac Campbell

Austin Community College students and staff from the Ascender, Brass, and ACC Career Scholars program came together to Kick Off the spring semester on January 27th at the Highland Campus. The event began with opening remarks from each program and guest speaker Dr. Shasta Buchanan, Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, who shared her life story and fostered an engaging conversation among students. Students then engaged in a chat and chew activity where they got the chance to speak with several department deans and gain knowledge about other ACC programs and resources. After some closing remarks and a raffle giveaway, students were sent on their way with useful connections and brochures in hand.
