PAC Ascender Students Travel to Los Angeles

By: Dakota Rodriguez, CTN Intern

PAC Ascender club members, President Logan Martinez, members Kayla Muzquiz, and Melanie Trujillo, were able to participate in PAC’s alternative winter break.

They visited Los Angeles, California. While they were there, they went to the UCLA campus where they visited the Assistant Dean and talked about what it would be like to transfer to a university. They took a tour of the campus as well.  They also visited different tourist attractions and spent some time volunteering at a local community garden. They harvested vegetables and gave out boxes to the community. They talked to the master gardener about his mission to teach people about growing their own food and the importance of knowing where your food comes from.

“It was a lot of fun! The experience was like no other and definitely worth it,” said Ascender student, Kayla Muzquiz. Logan Martinez said his favorite part of the trip was taking a tour of Warner Brother Studios. “It gave us a behind the scenes look at major pop culture moments.” Melanie Trujillo stated, “We had a wonderful time and I would love to do it again.”
