MEET STC GIRLS DISCOVERING MATH CLUB INTERN, L. HURTADO

Leslie Hurtado is 19 years old and attends South Texas College. She was born and raised in Rio Grande City.  Leslie is a part of the Girls Discovering Math Club and is passionate about helping her community.  She hopes to build relationships and leadership skills through the club and Ascender program.  

Leslie enjoys exercising and spending time with friends and family when not studying or working.  She loves to listen to music and her favorite artist is Lana del Rey.  She also has a passion for teaching and plans to transfer to a 4-year university after obtaining her associate's degree at STC.
