ERIN DORAN AND PAUL HENGESTEG PRESENT AT AERA AT CONFERENCE IN TORONTO

CTN Co-Director of Research and Evaluation, Erin Doran and her doctoral student, Paul Hengesteg, presented on the Ascender program at the American Educational Research Conference in Toronto at the beginning of April. The title of their presentation was “Ascending Toward New Heights: How One Program Builds Navigational Capital for Latinx Community College Students.” The AERA’s annual meeting is the world’s largest gathering of education researchers and a showcase for groundbreaking innovative studies in an array of areas. The American Educational Research Association, a national research society, strives to advance knowledge about education, to encourage scholarly inquiry related to education, and to promote the use of research to improve education and serve the public good.
