CTN PEER MENTOR, VALENZUELA, RECEIVES AWARD AT UT

CTN Peer Mentor, Dr. Angela Valenzuela, received the Dean’s Distinguished Equity & Community Service Award from the University of Texas’ College of Education on May 16. This award recognizes a faculty member in the College of Education who has compiled a distinguished record of centering equity and inclusion in extraordinary service and mentoring to students, staff, and/or faculty, their program, department, the college, the University of Texas at Austin, and broader communities.

Dr. Valenzuela is a professor in the Educational Policy and Planning Program within the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy, and also holds a courtesy appointment in the Cultural Studies in Education Program within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. In addition, she serves as the director of the University of Texas Center for Education Policy.
