Milagros Lopez, former Director of Institutional Partnerships at The University of Texas at Austin’s Division of Diversity and Community Engagement, accepted a new position as Director of DEI for Graduate Programs at McCombs which began March 27th. The McCombs School of Business is a business school at The University of Texas. In addition to the main campus in downtown Austin, McCombs offers classes outside Central Texas in Dallas and Houston.
Lopez worked closely with CTN especially in coordinating the Ascender Transfer Motivational Conference in her former position, where she managed collaboration efforts related to community and education partnerships and initiatives for the Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE).
“I am happy for you and your professional advancement. I am sure you will be a great asset to the institution. On the other hand, I am sad to see you depart. You have been an incredible mentor to our organization, and thanks to you, our students have benefitted from our annual transfer motivational conference,” commented CTN CEO, Maria Chavez.
