Dr. Teresita Ramirez-Rosas is a professor at Dallas College in the Department of Mathematics at the North Lake Campus. She has a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California and a post-doctorate in teaching from Grand Valley State University. Her mathematical interest is knot theory, specifically in quadrisecants of knots. Her teaching interest is in bringing culturally responsive teaching to Mathematics courses. One of her goals at Dallas College is to support first-generation students by helping them build a growth mindset in mathematics. Dr. Ramirez currently serves as a Leadership Fellow for Catch The Next/Ascender and she is the advisor for the Girls Discovering Math Club at the North Lake Campus.
