Elvira Duran has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Yale University and a degree in Nursing from Southern Connecticut State University. Elvira was born in Los Angeles and her family now resides in New Mexico. She serves the Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors and has served as Co-Chair of the Yale Latino Alumni Association.
Duran is a clinical researcher at Yale Medical School. For the last few years, she has been doing research on gestational diabetes and has coauthored several articles on the subject.
