ERIN DORAN, CTN DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH, PUBLISHES IN INNOVATIVE HIGHER EDUCATION

Erin Doran, CTN Director of Research and Evaluation, along with Paul Hengesteg and Dian Squire, published an article titled “Developing Racial Justice Allies in an Online Graduate Workshop Centering Latinx Students” on October 14 in Innovative Higher Education.

“This study presents data from an online course on Latinx Students in Higher Education taught at a Predominantly White Institution in the Midwest. It examines how students engage with content on Latinx issues across the P-20 educational pipeline to better understand and ultimately serve this population in their professional context using perspectives on allyship development and racial justice allyship. Students in the course demonstrated a commitment to social justice, but their journey to build allyship was not a straightforward process.” (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10755-020-09525-7)
