PAC ASCENDER STUDENTS ATTEND DON QUIXOTE

Palo Alto College Ascender students attended Ballet San Antonio’s production of Don Quixote at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on March 5.   Nine students were chaperoned by CTN faculty, Ronald Perez and Maggie Yznaga.  Antonio Garza, PAC English Ascender instructor, participated in performance of Don Quixote as the character Lorenzo, an innkeeper and the father of Kitri. It was the first culture event outside the college since the pandemic. “I’m so elated my students were in the audience at the Saturday matinee and hope they enjoyed the experience,” instructor Antonio Garza commented.

The show follows Don Quixote’s journey though the old continent's countryside, together with many other hilarious characters, through the most entertaining and moving adventures. In it, Don Quixote fights windmills and falls in love with the beautiful Dulcinea, in a classic known for its color and humor.
