CTN HOSTS RETREAT FOR NEW LEADERSHIP FELLOWS COHORT
Approximately 20 participants attended CTN’s Virtual Leadership Fellows Retreat on September 10th with the goal to meet each other and learn about the Leadership Fellows Program. The retreat began with participants sharing answers they posted on Padlet prior to the seminar, followed by a welcome from CEO, Dr. Chavez.
In the session “Not for Profits 101- The Impact of Not for Profits,” Dr. Chavez spoke about the impact not for profits have in society. This was followed by two sessions where participants learned about the function of the CTN board and “The Why of CTN’s Work and Model” presented by Dr. Chavez and Dr. Alaniz, CTN Director of Professional Development.
The purpose of the session “On Leadership” was to review leadership styles and discuss: Why did you become a leadership fellow?” A common thread in the answers was “to be able to share this program with others.”
Next participants learned about site visits, seminars, and webinars. Veteran Leadership Fellow, Yolanda Reyna from Palo Alto College, shared her site visit experiences with participants.
The Retreat ended with the session “Logistics of Being a Fellow” and announcements.
