STC MID-VALLEY HOSTS NOCHE DE FAMILIA

STC Mid-Valley campus hosted Noche de Familia on September 17th from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Mid-Valley campus cafeteria. The event included an overview of the Ascender program, its resources and an introduction of the instructors and others within the program. Guest speaker, Dr. Juan Ramirez, spoke to the students about doubts of belonging on campus and reassured them that they do belong. Parents learned about the process of running for club officer and the results of the officer elections were announced. New officers spoke to parents and classmates about their role and vision for the club. Students and their families enjoyed the meal that was provided and prizes were handed out.
