STACY IBARRA ATTENDS TX-EPFP RETREAT
CTN Director of Student Engagement, Stacy Ybarra, was selected for the Texas Education Policy Fellowship Program, (TX-EPFP). She attended the TX-EPFP Fall 2019 retreat in Austin on September 19. At the retreat, Stacy heard from major players in state-level education policy, including Dr. Harrison Keller, UT-Austin professor and now Higher Education Commissioner, Dr. Mike Morath, Texas Education Agency (TEA) Commissioner, and Dr. Ginger Gossman, Senior Director of Innovation and Policy with the Texas Higher Coordinating Board.
TXEPFP is a 10-month intensive professional development program for emerging and mid-level leaders in education and education related fields. The TX-EPFP Fellows participate in a variety of unique activities to discover the multifaceted aspects of education policy with experts across the state, develop their leadership skills through practice, expand their professional networks, and explore avenues for fostering positive impact for stakeholders and communities within Texas education.
