PAC ASCENDER CLUB MAKES PLANS
By Intern Keren Morin
Ascender students met in Medina Hall for their monthly club meeting to plan for the rest of the semester. Students were able to vote on events and also trips that will be held for students that would help them better their college experience. The next upcoming event and the main point of focus according to Ron Perez, advisor for the club, is the presentation of Neill DeGrasse, an astrophysicist who will be giving a speech at the Tobin center in San Antonio. Mr. Perez expressed his encouragement to students when he said “This trip is really valuable, but also the speaker is really good and captivating when explaining his work. It’s something you don’t want to miss,”
Club meetings occur every month to inform students of future events, to fundraise for the club, and to hear about the good things happening to students.
