CTN Operations Manager, Juan Higa, has been selected to serve as Co-Chairman of the Technology Committee for the TACHE 46th Annual State Conference. Higa will serve with Dr. Nancy Garcia.
Raphael Castillo, CTN Director of Publications and Special Projects, recently published an article in the San Antonio Express News titled “A Revolutionary Alternative to Expensive College Textbooks.”
CTN’s Director of Professional Development, Allegra Villarreal, conducted the final one-hour virtual seminar for the Foundational Seminar Series on August 14th. The session was titled “Starting Online Courses Strong” Strategies for Day One.”
CTN will host an Ascender Student Transfer Motivational Fall Seminar on Friday, September 25th. The theme for the seminar is Aspire, Inspire, and Motivate (AIM).
CTN welcomes two new campus directors for the Ascender program, Dr. Joan Jaimes at San Antonio College and Dr. Ruth Reinhart at Austin Community College.
As a component of the Ascender Foundational training, guest speaker, Dr. Norma Cantu, presented her session ‘Cada Cabeza es un Mundo” via zoom on July 17th.
Each year the Austin Chamber of Commerce honors the philanthropic efforts of the local job creators and companies that go above and beyond in the community. Lillian Gray was nominated in the individual volunteer category.
