PAC Ascender students toured the Texas A&M San Antonio University campus on Friday, November 8th.
A guest speaker visited ACC instructor Acker’s class on November 7th. He introduced a career assessment to the students to help them identify future careers by going through their own self-interests.
CTN Author Mentor, Sergio Troncoso, visited Palo Alto College on October 30th. Most of the PAC Ascender students attended the event.
San Antonio College held a rally to show "SAC Stands with our Student Immigrants" on October 22. It was part of the 4th Annual "I Stand with Immigrants" College and University Day of Action.
SAC Professor Bunch’s EDUC 1300 Ascender students received an assignment to create a Mission Statement that reflected their past, present, and future.
Brian Lister is currently enrolled in Austin Community College and plans to transfer to a four-year institution where he will pursue a degree in accounting.
STAAR Ascender students who had read and seen the movie “Por Unos Elotes: Harvest of Redemption” also had the honor of having Mr. Eddie Howell, the author, and Mr. Joey, who plays old Oscar in the movie, come to campus and give a presentation in the auditorium which was followed with a Q and A where they answered any questions the students had.
Andrea Arismendiz is 18 years old and in her first year of college. She is from Belton.

Two Ascender students, Diane Gorosieta and Nara Zepeda, attended the HACU Emerging Leaders Regional Summit at Concordia University on September 17th.
