ACC Ascender students attended campus tours at Texas State University, St. Edward's University, University of Texas at Austin and Concordia University.
Whenever possible, site visits conducted by CTN include a panel of Ascender students who volunteer to answer questions about the program.
STC Mid-Valley campus Ascender staff, students and families celebrated Noche de Familia on October 25th. Approximately 150 people were in attendance.
ACC held two Noche de Famila events. One on the Eastview campus serving Highland and Riverside students on October 16 and one on Hays campus in Kyle on October 17.
STC fall festivals began at 6 pm and ended at 9 pm. Admission was free and there was entertainment for the whole family which included carnival rides, live music, a pumpkin carving contest and much more. A costume contest with categories for both adults and children began at 7:30.
Students and others on ACC Highland campus were encouraged to “grab a butterfly and write on it a thought dedicated to someone who has passed away or to place an image of someone who has passed away” on their Altar de Muertos.
The Catch the Next Ascender program at Palo Alto College held its annual Noche de Familia this past Wednesday, October 17.

STC Pecan campus has formed a Math Club for its Ascender students.
