ACC Hosts Two Noche de Familia Events

ACC held two Noche de Famila events. One on the Eastview campus serving Highland and Riverside students on October 16 and one on Hays campus in Kyle on October 17. Students spent time with their family and mentors. Program director, Dr. Richard Armenta, and Dr. Ruth Reinhart, AVP of Student Support Services, attended as well as campus recruiters, advisers, and professors.

These events were an opportunity for parents to learn about the basics of the Ascender program and an opportunity for students to introduce their mentors to their family. There was also a planned activity that asked

mentors, students, and family members to define their responsibilities and roles in the students’ success and future transfer prospects. Attendees enjoyed a bingo game with winners receiving Amazon gift cards.
